Our Founder and Creative Director
Sarah George is the Founder and Creative Director of Sigterra. She is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work is grounded in a deep reverence for the natural world.
With decades of experience as an artist and educator, Sarah brings a unique sensitivity to her work, rooted in a deep respect for the natural world. Her practice is shaped by a desire to honour the earth’s inherent beauty, using sculptural interventions that amplify, rather than alter, the landscapes they inhabit.
Sarah’s work is not just about creating art—it’s about fostering a relationship with the land. Her pieces underpin the importance of sustainability, cultural understanding, and the responsibility we have to protect and respect the environments we live and work within.
Her sculptural pieces reflect this deep connection to place, using natural materials that speak to the textures, tones, and histories of the landscape. Sarah’s creations don’t just decorate a space—they invite people to engage with it on a deeper level, creating a dialogue between art, nature, and the people who experience it.
Our studio
We create sculptural interventions in landscapes using multi-media and multi-dimensional approaches, focusing on the materiality of each piece.
Our work brings together the resourcefulness of artists and diverse materials to form a creative response to site. By focusing on the intrinsic qualities of the earth and its resources, we craft sculptural pieces that sit within the landscape, blending artistry with functionality in a way that elevates both.

Our Artists and Collaborators
At Sigterra, our artists and makers collaborate closely to bring Sarah’s vision to life, combining craftsmanship with a deep understanding of materials.
We carefully select and test natural elements to ensure lasting durability and refined aesthetic impact. Every piece reflects the skill and dedication of our collaborators, who are essential to our process.
